March 2, 2025 – Photoshoot in Bonafacio Global City
On Saturday, Jayson fetched me and brought me to the Binuya household for breakfast. We had a huge breakfast, prepared by Mrs. Cora. The spread was a salad, grilled sweet and sour pompano and tilapia, white rice, tapas, and bananas. Everything was absolutely delicious and I really can't thank Mrs. Cora enough for all she has done for me during my sojourn in the Philippines. After eating, Mr. Joe and Mrs. Cora had to leave for a province of Manila. They were going to visit a close friend that is in the hospital. So, Johanna and I cleaned up the kitchen, we washed all the dirty dishes, pots, and pans, and we wiped down the table and countertops.
Afterwards, Johanna opened up her gift of the day, a ginormous butterfly tapestry. She loved it so very much. After thanking me for the gift, we went for a bike ride to the C-6 bike lane just down the road from her house. The road follows the shoreline of Laguna de Bay. We rode bikes, roller skated, and I got on the skateboard. I rode the small, plastic board for a while, until I stepped right in the middle of the board and accidentally broke it right in half. I was so embarrassed. It was a kid's board, and it obviously could not handle my weight. Upon breaking my board, we still rode the bicycle, the skates, and we shot some photos and videos of us having fun. This bike lane is one of Johanna's favoirte places to come; a place of solitude, reflection and prayer. Here she can fly freely and enjohy the day. This bike lane of hers is similar to my Sanders Beach. A getwaway from the stree of the world. After playing for quite some time, Johanna and I began our Bible study out at the bike lane, sitting in some shade on the sea wall. On the other side of the sea wall was a homeless camp, but we still did the Bible study there anyways. We are in the final chapter of the John Coblentz book. Today's topic is finding God's will for your life. We didn't complete the study on the sea wall because the traffic was too loud and distracting. I did play her the song of the day at the sea wall. This was day 18: You Are My Treasure. She once again loved the song and thanked me sincerely and profusely. We have each other a big hug and a few kisses on the cheek. Then, we returned to her home to complete the Bible study. After completing the Bible study, Mr. joe and Mrs. Cora returned. She bought me and my family som asian farmer's hats and a jeepney souvenir for me to give to my parents. Johanna and I left shortly thereafter to go to BGC for some window shopping and a photoshoot.
We had a fantastic time, and we walked all over BGC. We walked all the way until sunset. We visited some very idyllic city gardens, and we admired the constructions of man (the buildings and the architecture). We saw a hip-hop dance recital taking place in a city park, we say huge asian trees covered with vines, and we shot photos during the sunset. After the sun had fallen dow, we went to Yellow Cab Pizza. We ordered an extra large pizza (meat-lovers on one half and New York Style on the other half), a bowl of chicken Alfredo, and some very sweet and tasty Raspberry and lemon teas.
Finally, we made our way back to Market Market, and we caught a bus that took us back to Taguig. I got the air compressor fixed up, and Johanna had us cover our hands with paint and out our hand print on card-stock as a keepsake commemorating my visit. I cleaned more dishes in the kitchen, and shortly thereafter, Jayson gave me a ride back to the condo via his scooter. Jayson invited me to his church in Taguig. So, that is where Johanna and I will attend today. My final day in the enchanted land of the Philippines. Yahweh be with you, bless you, and protect you always. May love be with you, with the love of Jesus Christ. Amen.
