February 21, 2025 – A Simple Prayer
I'm waiting for Johanna right now. So, I might as well engage in PRPF...Prayer, reading the Bible, praise and worship, and fellowship with other Christian believers. So, while I wait, here is a simple prayer.
Dear Lord, out of all the people on the earth, you have brought Johanna and I together. I could have married someone in Pensacola, but that is not your plans or desires for my life. You have given me the most beautiful, godly woman. She is so talented, intelligent, kind, loving, and uplifting. I don't know how you arranged this love story, but you, oh, Lord, God of heaven and earth can do all things. You formed all of creation in your very hands. You formed Johanna and I in the womb, and you fit us together like two puzzle pieces of an infinite puzzle. Dear Lord, God, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, we consecrate our relationship to you. May we love each other, may we love our neighbors, family, friends, and also the rich, the poor, the young, the old, the sinner, and the righteous. Let us love them where they are at, and may we share the Gospel of Christ with them and help lead them to salvation. Dear Lord, let Johanna and I be a team for Christ. Order our steps. May we continue to grow in love. Show us what to do with our lives to make the most impact possible in this life.
And on this vast blue, green orb that is but a speck of dust in the eternal heavens, let us live for you and share your love with everyone we meet. We love you Lord, and we promise to do our best, despite the fact that we sin (we're sinners), but we know, through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ we shall be forgiven. Indeed, we shall be lifted back up and saved.
Dear Lord, keep Johanna and my (our) relationship pure. Let us not fall into sin, but let us set up barriers in order to combat the fleshly desire that emerges from lust. Let us continue to wait patiently. Let us take our first kiss at our wedding when the pastor allows us to kiss one another when we become husband and wife. Dear Lord, continue to work wonders in our relationship. May we have the most special and unique love story, but I pray our love story is used as a team to lead other lost souls to the Lord. In Jesus mighty and most precious name above all names. Amen!

Such a heartfelt, beautiful prayer, Mark.. in Jesus name, Amen 🙏💗
